Si conclude così Phantom Blood。 Sicuramente quest’ultimo libro è il migliore a livello di trama, scrittura e grafica, ma comunque tutta la serie è molto carina!

Overall I didn’t care for Jonathan what so ever but I know araki himself said he wish he altered Jonathan to be more flawed。I honestly just read so I can continue to the other followings and not skip

So my conclusion to Part 1 is it was an interesting ride, and well it was nice to see some closure for Jonathan Joestar and Dio。Kind of looking forward to Dio's return in Part 3。 So my conclusion to Part 1 is it was an interesting ride, and well it was nice to see some closure for Jonathan Joestar and Dio。Kind of looking forward to Dio's return in Part 3。 。。。more

Credit where it's due: this opening story it what is apparently the epic of the Joestar family (making the title a little odd since it doesn't exclusively follow one JoJo) is truly bizarre, with an odious villain in Dio who more or less gets what's coming to him。。。for now。 There's some truly horrifying things in this story, as befitting a horror story, and the artwork is certainly distinctive even if there were places where I wasn't quite sure what was going on。 But as opening salvos in a war be Credit where it's due: this opening story it what is apparently the epic of the Joestar family (making the title a little odd since it doesn't exclusively follow one JoJo) is truly bizarre, with an odious villain in Dio who more or less gets what's coming to him。。。for now。 There's some truly horrifying things in this story, as befitting a horror story, and the artwork is certainly distinctive even if there were places where I wasn't quite sure what was going on。 But as opening salvos in a war between good and evil goes, this one was pretty good。 。。。more

The end of Part 1 was a wild ride。 I have some problems with it (mostly just characters getting added just to be there only for a short period of time), but other than that it as really good。 Honestly I think in all of part 1, I thought that this would be my favourite volume, and I think theres just something about how wild the first volume was that makes me love it a tad bit more。 Regardless, the conclusion of Jonathan and Dio's story was phenomenal and was so fun to return to。 The ending never The end of Part 1 was a wild ride。 I have some problems with it (mostly just characters getting added just to be there only for a short period of time), but other than that it as really good。 Honestly I think in all of part 1, I thought that this would be my favourite volume, and I think theres just something about how wild the first volume was that makes me love it a tad bit more。 Regardless, the conclusion of Jonathan and Dio's story was phenomenal and was so fun to return to。 The ending never fails to shock me at how fast things end in this part, but it was definitely worth the read。 I feel like this is more of a 4。75? DIO SUCKS FOR THE ENDING。 I WON'T SPOIL IT。 Dio is such an entitled person and spent a lot of his life manipulating people against Jonathan instead of being his friend。 They could've been so powerful together。 Yet, Dio chose to be selfish and only looked after Dio。 DIO SUCKS FOR THE ENDING。 I WON'T SPOIL IT。 Dio is such an entitled person and spent a lot of his life manipulating people against Jonathan instead of being his friend。 They could've been so powerful together。 Yet, Dio chose to be selfish and only looked after Dio。 。。。more

Meh。 This volume didn't really do anything for me。 A bunch of weird fighting with zombie/vampire things。 Overall, Part 1 starts strong and goes downhill。 I've also heard this is the weakest part and it doesn't really catch on until Part 3。 (And even then, some say that's the weakest。) Which means there is still a whole 'nother weak part to get through to see what everyone is talking about。 Maybe this series isn't my thing。 Maybe I should just skip to Part 4 or something to see if it is。 I don't Meh。 This volume didn't really do anything for me。 A bunch of weird fighting with zombie/vampire things。 Overall, Part 1 starts strong and goes downhill。 I've also heard this is the weakest part and it doesn't really catch on until Part 3。 (And even then, some say that's the weakest。) Which means there is still a whole 'nother weak part to get through to see what everyone is talking about。 Maybe this series isn't my thing。 Maybe I should just skip to Part 4 or something to see if it is。 I don't know。 Either way, it's going to sit on the back-burner a bit。 。。。more

May watch the anime。 Oh, and minus points because what in the world was the dog with a human face, I hate it。 。。。more

Yes, it is a fun story, and there were some exciting points throughout the course of the story。 The characters all worked well together and I loved the development of the two knights that JoJo had to face during this part of his adventure。 I also enjoyed the surprise ending that left me wondering where this story would go next。 But is this one of the best mangas I have ever read? Not really。 It still falls flat even though my students keep on telling me that it gets better, so I will probably st Yes, it is a fun story, and there were some exciting points throughout the course of the story。 The characters all worked well together and I loved the development of the two knights that JoJo had to face during this part of his adventure。 I also enjoyed the surprise ending that left me wondering where this story would go next。 But is this one of the best mangas I have ever read? Not really。 It still falls flat even though my students keep on telling me that it gets better, so I will probably stick with it for a little longer。 The one thing that I do not like about it is the gimmick that is used on all of the characters。 They are named after either rock stars or rock groups。 It would make for a fun adventure if the characters fit more with the moniker that they are given。 Zeppeli (named after Led Zeppelin) learns from his master Tonpetty, and is joined in his studies by Dire and Straitz。 It might be my extensive knowledge of rock music that makes me wonder why this is the way that it was set up。 None of these connections make any sense, and I have a hard time getting over it。 I know that they are supposed to be there for fun, but it is really hard to ignore this, and it takes away from my enjoyment of the overall story。 I hope that this does not continue as I read it, and the names start to have better connections from the people that they come from。 。。。more

Overall I rate Jojo’s Phantom Blood as a 4/5 for the fact that it’s the first part of the story。 I’m not saying the plot or the characters are not good, they really are, but when comparing it to the other parts (Battle Tendency, Golden Wind etc。) it’s really not that good。 I still recommend reading this book for the pure fact that it’s the foundation of the whole Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure franchise

Super fucking bizarre。 This volume was really surprising! Spoilers ahead obviously, so I can keep track of the plot in btw reading this and the next volumes。So, our trio is still battling the 2 dead knights。 We learn more about Zepp's past and that he was told, by his master, how he would eventually die- saving a young tiger after a young boy opens a gate or something。Of course exactly that happens while facing the second knight, and Zepp is ripped in two, but not before passing his life's energ Super fucking bizarre。 This volume was really surprising! Why Jojo didnt completely destroy Dio's brain after battle is beyond me- he acknowledges plenty of times that to kill these zombie-vamps he has to obliterate their brains。So very shortly into their voyage, Dio's bitch pulls him out of the coffin and there is the final confrontation。 Dio wants to use Jojo's body and finally expresses respect for Jojo after all he's accomplished。 He uses his bizarre laser eyes to kick Jojo's ass, forcing Jojo to blow up tge ship with them on it。 Erina escapes, rescuing a baby and get own unborn child which will carry on the Joestar legacy。 。。。more

So I will admit that I don't do Manga much。 And when I do it's definitely not this aggressively heterosexual。 But my brother is finally out of the army and encouraged me to give JoJo's Bizarre Adventure a chance。 And even he said Part I was the weakest link and I should skip it。 Unfortunately, my brain doesn't allow that to be a possibility。This one had a lot of things I DO like going for it: Vague #DarkAcademia, relics, vampirism, hot twinks。But this was also AGGRESSIVELY masculine, AGGRESSIVEL So I will admit that I don't do Manga much。 And when I do it's definitely not this aggressively heterosexual。 But my brother is finally out of the army and encouraged me to give JoJo's Bizarre Adventure a chance。 And even he said Part I was the weakest link and I should skip it。 Unfortunately, my brain doesn't allow that to be a possibility。This one had a lot of things I DO like going for it: Vague #DarkAcademia, relics, vampirism, hot twinks。But this was also AGGRESSIVELY masculine, AGGRESSIVELY heterosexual, and AGGRESSIVELY on the nose。 (Literally the characters allow NOTHING to be subtext and PLAINLY spell out their plots in the MOST Saturday morning cartoon movie villain type of way。)I will likely finish them because they were a recommendation from my brother that he was very excited about。 I just hope he's right that they get better。Rating: 3/5 。。。more

Action oozed on every page but I fear the OTT over-the-topness bugged me more in this volume。 First, the fight with Blueford and Tarukus went on a little too long for my liking, and it was the bit in the anime I struggled with too。 Second, when did every hamon-powered move become an OVERDRIVE version? If I took a shot everytime "overdrive" was mentioned in this volume, I'd surely be drunk。In any case, Part 1's arc wraps up in a way I wasn't expecting but now knowing this, I can see how the serie Action oozed on every page but I fear the OTT over-the-topness bugged me more in this volume。 First, the fight with Blueford and Tarukus went on a little too long for my liking, and it was the bit in the anime I struggled with too。 Second, when did every hamon-powered move become an OVERDRIVE version?
